There is nothing better than the smell of a delicious dessert such as sweet bread, cookies, pies, and cakes. Baking is an integral part of my heritage. I enjoy baking for my family and friends. I want to share this love of baking with you.
My mother baked cakes in my hometown of Villahermosa, Mexico. People used to say: “There are no better cakes than ‘Doña Laurita’.†In the 80’s, she started baking from a simple chocolate cake to a multi-layered wedding cake, without professional experience and no help. My clear childhood memory was watching her do the ball point test, helping to bubble the pot of water with sugar while smelling freshly baked bread.
I have always dreamed of having my own bakery. In 2018, a few days before Mother's Day, I made the decision to start selling a delicious dessert based on my mother’s ingredients of meringue, nuts, cream, cheese, and strawberries. It was a total success and continues to be popular today.
